Kuala Lumpur hosting International Logistics Event

Delegates from all around the world will descend on the Shangri-La Hotel

Bangkok, Thailand, September 8, 2009 – The international logistics network, AerOceaNetwork (AON), is prepared and ready to host their global annual meeting in Kuala Lumpur later this month at the Shangri-La Hotel. The event will be held over three days with a welcoming cocktail on September 20th and two days of a conference starting on the 21st and ending on the 22nd.

“The members are very exited,” said Gary Dale Cearley, Executive Director of AerOceaNetwork, “The best part of being in an international network is joining the meetings. This is where all the business gets done. It is where the relationships are started up, built and renewed.”

“These meetings are important in that most of the international freight forwarding companies around the world are independent operators who need global partners,” continued Cearley, “The logistics networks help these independent operators to build these partnerships quickly and safely in that we cover the globe with agents for them and we undertake measures to protect their money when dealing with these agents.”

Cearley also is happy about the group who is coming to Kuala Lumpur. “This year, 2009, has been very hard on the independent freight forwarders economically,” said Cearley, “The companies who are coming to Kuala Lumpur are showing their commitment to growing their business in the face of a difficult, but improving, economic situation. And I am thankful for them.”
